Business Writing @ Purdue

Our group finished revising all our powerpoint slides. After showing the slides to the class and getting feedback we were able to perfect our slides. We then individually worked on our portion of the slides and put everything together. After much research and revising I feel our group put together and nice presentation.

Our group had to swtich media applications because MediaFrame was lacking.  We are now using YouTube.  We are having a hard time putting the powerpoint together with such little time.  Each member seems to be pulling his weight and on such short notice we are working diligently.  We should have our slides finalized and finished up by the end of the weekend.

Our group finished the white paper and now Peg chose to use MediaFrame.  We agreed with her decision.  Then we divided the poject storyboards into section where we all created our own storyboards.  The storyboards came together nicely but we ran into a problem in that we know a lot about mediaframe but we don't exactly know how to use it.  Upon trying to download it we were denied do to the itap labs.  Right now we are trying to figure out how to properly use media frame and be able to download it.

Our video group put the finishing touches on our white paper.  We decided to take out the reading retention rates paragraph.  Our group also decided to also edit the medieframe paragraph.  It was one long thought and we decided to divide it into three separate paragraphs.  Our group finally revised the white paper and took out all the unnessary words.  We submitted the final draft and finally finished the white paper project.

I feel that the paper is organized well.  There are two completely differenet section from the irc to the bulletin board but overall the paper organized well.  The irc is discussing why the company needs internet relay chat and the bulletin board discusses why the company needs a bulletin board and the best options for this featre.  Overall, I feel that the paper is organized properly.  The IRC paragraphs could be shortened and summarized.  Many of the first two and on quarter pages are sayin the same thing.  It keeps talking about how well this would benefit the site.  There needs to b

After meeting on Wednesday night our group submitted our first draft.  It was a pretty good first draft.  Our group all worked together really well individually and then came together and as a team but everything together.  Every member is really pulling their weight.  We need to make the paper seem as though one person wrote it which will probably prove to be our most challenging part of the paper.  After review we will have to see what improvements will need to be made.

Facebook privacy settings may not be as private as one thinks.  A search was done for girls interested in random hooks ups with men and instantly many girls were found one being of high school age.  Facebook may have a flaw in that one can search for any item of interest and even if a persons profile is private from everyone but his/her friends that person is able to find out that persons name and network.  If you decide to join a group promoting certain things a a search was done for that  criteria then your profile would show up.  Even though one is unable to view your complete profile
