I think the presentation looks solid. The layout and look of the slides are great. I do see a bit of a problem with the content of the presentation. After reading the slides, I still don't have a great idea of what the aplication really does. Also, I think you have assumed that the audience knows enough about computers. I think you could strengthen the presentation by adding more discriptions in layman's terms. For example, you have a slide that desctribes cacheing but you don't tell the reader what it means to cache. Add a few slides of discriptions and it should be good.
I like your PowerPoint, your group had the difficult task of doing a media presentation on a computer program that has no visual component. You guys did a good job of showing a new user how to use phpbb and the PowerPoint looks good visually. The program seems like something that Mona Lisa's Sword could use. The only suggestion that I can come up with is that the screenshots that you do have could be a little bigger, perhaps their own page. In class they looked fine on the projector but on a computer screen they are a little small.

In the later slides that outline some of the features you should go more in depth about some of the features such as admin control. You also need to get some more screenshots of the program in use. The powerpoint is too plain right now. In the user groups feature slide you should go indepth of what roles are played in the group, and things like that. This is a good start but needs some work.

I love of clean and simple your presentation is. I think that by taking this approach, it really helps the audience focus on what you have to say. After looking over the slides you can easyly go though all the steps of Bulletin Boad. The only suggestion that I have is to maybe consolidate a few of the slides into each other. Because this presentation is a stand alone presentation, you might want to ad some more detail, or if you don't want to do that, just consolidate a few slides together so you can eliminate a few slides with a couple of words on them. The tricky thing about presentations (especially powerpoint) is that everyone has a different opinion. All in all though you guys have a very nice presentation and I just want to wish you good luck on any revisions that you make!
Overall, I do think it’s a very good presentation, and it is indeed easy to read and make out. My only concern is the lack of images within it. There are a number of slides that contain ten or so words, and that is it, leaving a good deal of empty space, which is somewhat less than pleasing to the eye. I do realize that it is fairly difficult to get photos and such of your application, and I’m not saying just throw in pictures for the Hell of it, but maybe there is something you could do in regards to font size or position within the slides that will help hide some of that empty space.
I found the presentation to be very simple and plain. The colors selected were very soothing and pleasant. The blue spoilers and light brown font color was strange but gave a good combination on plain white background. I personally think the presentation could do with more pictures and technical information’s. The screen shots and user interface could have been more comprehensive and suggestive. Pictures and Technical information’s, were kept very minimal. Overall the presentation is nice for a general introduction of the subject with very less technicality. The application in general is quite general and comprehensive in its field and there are lots of site which gives much information regarding the subject. The presentation was a fine compilation and just missed little more effort.
I like your slide’s color too. The design is simple and clear. It makes me feel very relaxed when I saw your slides for the first time. (It makes me wanna have a vacation where there is blue sea like the blue color in your slides!! =p) I noticed that you changed the font and added shadows. I like the color of the font, however, I still think the color is a little bit too bright because you have a white background. The bright color of the words really makes eyes fatigue more quickly, especially there are many words in your slides. The color may be hard to read for some people who have eyes difficulty.
The majority of your slides is word content. Although I understand that you guys did whatever you can to collect the screenshots, I still think it will be better to add more pictures as possible. I’m the exactly that kind of people who need very detailed description, a lot of pictures and step-by-step illustration to learn a new application. So I know the pictures are extremely important to easily understand.
I also like the color scheme. Out of all the presentation, it was the most comforable to view because of the way it comes across. With pictures being hard to come by, I think it would be beneficial to maybe explain things in more detail, instead of having simplified bullet points. The thing with pictures though, is that they make it so much easier to explain things. Thats too bad that this application is hard to gt pictures of. Hopefully you guys can find a way to download it and get some screenshots of the appliction. This would make explaining things a lot easier. All in all I like the presentation...Good job
Like I said in class, I really like the color scheme of your powerpoint - I think that its "fun." It seems like you guys added a darker shadow and toned downt he color of the font slightly. I actually think that I liked it better before added the shadow. With that said, if you coudl incorporate more photos into your powerpoint, I think that it would pretty solid.
